Alexandre Zerbé
In his painting, line holds a predominant place. Alexandre Zerbé primarily seeks to preserve the impression of a sketch or drawing, as he considers drawing to be the foundation of any image transferred onto a flat surface.
His figurative approach, based on a blend of sketches and work from memory, aims mainly to depict the urban environment as he perceives itthrough its landscapes and architecture, as well as the human and animal societies that inhabit it. In this way, through form and color, the artist creates emotive and expressive atmospheres.
